Edward Robinson
Senior Airman (SrA) Captain US Air Force 1951-1953 Korea
Sponsored by David and Daniel Robinson

Edward P. Robinson served his country with honor as a Captain in the United States Air Force in Korea in 1952, during the Korean War.

After his honorable discharge Robinson went on to a successful career as a hospital administrator eventually founding and running Munster Community Hospital in Munster, IN. Mr. Robinson understood the great significance of keeping the memory of Pearl Harbor alive. He sponsored yearly commenmorations to pay tribute to the memory of Pearl Harbor and to honor the soldiers, sailors, and air men who fought and died there. He even went so far as to fly in surviving veterans of Pearl Harbor so that they could share in the ceremonies and be honored as well.
Edward Robinson additionally sponsored and supervised the building of a War Memorial to honor the veterans of all of the wars of the 20th century. The memorial was widely considered to be one of the finest in the Midwest. Unfortunately, Edward passed away in 2006. He was finally honored himself when the community's War Memorial was recently re-named The Edward P. Robinson War Memorial.
