Testimonials:

My Mom said that for Dad, everything after Pearl Harbor was "icing on the cake!" He had a lot of icing in his life!!!!

Dad was reported missing after the bombing in Pearl Harbor where he was ordered to abandon ship from the USS West Virginia. As he was picked up by an outgoing destroyer that was on 'radio silence', it was three weeks before his family was notified that he was indeed still amoung us.
Dad always had an adventurous spirit. How about going to the world's Fair in Chicago at the age of 9 or 10 alone! I see that same spirit carried on by many of us now.

He was a caring and involved Dad of 4. He was also a proud grandpa of 8 and could be seen wearing his "grandpa shirt" often! I heard him bragging about all of his Great Grandchildren many times. And there were 10 of those at last count!
Dad was a patriot through and through. He has passed on that legacy also. We are all proud to be Americans and many of us or our kin have followed in the tradition of serving the country in the Armed forces.

Thanks Dad, for everything and Happy Trails--until we meet again. with Love, your eldest daughter, Vicky

I've known Don since I was a "snot-nosed kid," never dreaming that he would, one day, become my brother-in-law! But that he did. He and my sister were married for 57 years and had four wonderful children who blessed their lives. His passing may have taken his physical presence from us, but we know that his spiritual presence is still with us - watching us and waiting for the day when we begin our eternity with him.
