_________________________________________________________________The mission of the Pearl Harbor Memorial Fund is to raise the funds necessary to replace the Museum and Visitor Center of the USS Arizona memorial at Pearl Harbor. Come join our "Volunteer Ohana" and personally help us with this important rebuilding effort. Stand side by side with our Pearl Harbor Survivors in this very special place. Meet visitors from all over the world. Your heart will be touched and you will touch others as you help a nation "Remember, Understand, and Honor" the service and sacrifice of all who fought and gave their lives in th war in the Pacific. Our friendly volunteers come to the Visitor Center of the USS Arizona memorial at Pearl Harbor, at least, once a week for a minimum of four hours. We supplement our volunteers $.30/mile, round trip, from their front door back to their front door and for volunteering 4 or more hours per day, a $7.00/day lunch reimbursement. While volunteering at the Arizona Memorial the volunteers distribute literature, collect donations and act as "Ambassadors of Aloha". Education is our main focus; letting our visitors know that the entire facility must be replaced due to structural damage, (caused by a sinking foundation), over-crowded and inadequate facilities is our chief priority. Come visit us for a day and asssist our seasoned Volunteers. Enjoy meeting people from many cultures. Become inspired and help us inspire others to go back and spread the word about our efforts.
